Creating with my new goodies!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good Monday! Here in the US we celebrated Labor Day, my dear hubby grilled mouth-watering ribs and bacon wrapped pork tenderloins! Dear daughter and I made homemade potato salad, oh yeah, it was YUMMMYYYY:):) I even had time to create in my stamp room. This week my parents celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary, so I HAD to get time in my room to make them a card:):):)

I loved getting to play with some of my new goodies! I used the new paint found in the holiday mini, played with a new technique using the clear window sheets with our texture plate. That was fun, it came out really cool I think. After I ran the clear window sheet through the big shot with the top note bigz die, I ran it through again with the perfect details texture plate. I then rubbed some black stazon ink over the embossing to make it stand out! I will definitely be doing this again!!! Thanks for looking!

Vintage Ornament Christmas Tile!

Of course it's not a project without some ribbon and bling! And the gorgeous hat pin is from the "pretties kit"!!! Love this kit, it has pearls and beads and flowers in it, so you can create your own hat pin. This tile was soooo very easy to make! What a fabulous gift to give!!!

Life is Good!

Whew, it's been crazy around here!!! Crazy good!! School has begun and we are in full swing!!!
When I was school clothes shopping with Brenah, I got sooo in the mood for fall! I am ready for boots and sweaters, yum, yum! Enough of this blistering heat! Ok, enough complaing, at least my favorite hobby can be done indoors!:):):) No sunblock needed to stamp:):):) Ok, here are some of the projects we made at this past weekends stamp camp!

This card was CASED from one of my favorite designers, Kimberly Van Diepen, but changed a bit to make it my own! There is soo much texture going on, and is so very elegant! The colors are Kraft and Bashful blue! The background stamp is Bella Toile, (love that one!) And the embossing in done using the finial press embossing folder. The sentiment "thanks" is using our embosslit! (Isn't this so darn pretty?)

On this yummy card! I used 2 of the fabulous new in-colors, Bermuda Bay, and Soft Suede! The stamps set is Circle Circus!!! And the cute polka dot ribbon is our Bermuda Bay!! I just love how everything coordinates so well!!! Thanks for looking, ya"ll have a super duper day:)

Convention Inspiration!!!

Hi Everyone!! I am super excited about going to my first Stampin Up convention!! I needed an outlet to pour my enthusiasim into!!! So into my studio I went and the creative mojo was flowing! (Don't cha just love it when that happens?) This first card uses my new favorite stamp from the new catalog, the medallion!!!! It's so versatile, It's calling me to ink it up and scrap with:):):) Ok, now for the recipe: cardstock, crushed curry, vanilla, and soft suede, ink: crushed curry, soft suede, stamp sets: medallion, chic boutique
accessories: big shot tags, crushed curry dotted ribbon, chocolate cosmo glitter, (it's hard to see in this pic, but the dots are all glitter) 2-way glue pen,
crystal effects, (it's on top of the merci stamp and the bird) I wanted to add dimension. This card looks much better in person....
Now for the spooky card:):):) I love Halloween!!! It one of my favorite holidays! This card uses this fabulous skull "From the Crypt" stamp set!
and this awesome background stamp "All Hallows Eve" Now I'm getting in the holiday spirit!!! I can't wait to share my Christmas ideas:):):):) Ok the recipe:
cardstock: razzleberry, basic black, and whisper white, ink: razzleberry, stazon black, accessories: 1/4" basic black gg ribbon, cosmo fine glitter in silver, modern label punch, and 2-way blue pen. Oh, I almost forgot, the sentiment is from teeny tiny wished stamp set!!! We may be making this card at a future camp.....
This card again features my favorite stamp, the medallion! (It's going to be seeing lots of ink:) And again the Chic Boutique set! But check out that embossed card base!!!! That's our new final press embossing folder!!!! LOVE it!!!! It works beautifully, and adds wonderful texture!!! Here again, I used crystal effects on the tower, and the merci! Pulled out the sewing machine and stitched down that fab new chocolate chip striped ribbon!!! And last but not least used another one of the big shot sizzlets tags. The gratitude stamp is from the define your life set!!!!!! Thanks everyone for looking, can't wait to see you all at the next stampcamp in August!!! Have a great week!
